Role of Education in Balancing General Women Empowerment

Even after 70 years of independence still we are very much behind in women empowerment. It’s because very poor nos. of girls in school and college. Due to that woman are very less in employment even very less in politics. India is 193 ranked in woman participation in parliament even behind our neighboring countries like Pakistan etc.

Due to lacking in education women’s participation in each and every field very poor and it leads to measurable conditions. They are not self dependent lead a life of second citizens.

A good step taken by the govt. beti bachao beti padhao. But it’s a slogan only but real work still to be done. We have to change our mentality n consider them as equal. It’s practically experienced if women are given chance they can produce better results than man.

They have two additional qualities one is they are creature and emotional. In our ancient time women were given upper position goddess vidya, shakti and Vaibhav means wisdom, power and wealth. We go to temple to worship these goddesses but we forget our daughters , sisters and mothers are their representatives, if we treat them well , look after them well than no need to go to temple , it is fact and written in our scriptures where is woman we call matriskti are worshipped there is heaven .

8. Role in new India: - The woman in modern times is entering into certain new fields that were unknown to the woman’s sphere of role-sets. These are the woman’s participation in economic, political, and social life.
The modern woman keenly desires to enter into a work career because of the pressing economic needs of the family.
In middle-class families, much emphasis given to the maintenance of high standard of living. To fulfill the economic requirements of the family and to achieve the higher standard of living the woman participates in economic activities.

9. How we can empower them: - women empowerment can be done by women, especially the mothers.
1. Stop tolerating any partial treatment to you or your daughters or other women in the house, like Ghoonghat, less power of speech etc. Speak against them in a united and powerful voice.
2. Stop teaching your daughters to be wary of men. Instead teach your sons to treat women like equals.
3. Stop buying different toys for your sons and daughters.
4. Stop asking your daughters to reconsider further studies or do them after marriage, only because they will not be able to find a groom to match the qualifications.
5. If all Indian mothers get out of their orthodox thinking and follow these steps, I don't know what else can stop paving a way for women empowerment in India.
10. How we can balance their duties at home and office:- It was concept why study for girls cause she had to handle home duties, but they forget they are the mother and an educated mother will make their generation and future more bright and successful.

Compulsory of NCC in Schools and Colleges.

NCC is an integral part of the Indian Army. It is a support force of the Indian Army. The full form of NCC is national cadet core. The main thinks of NCC’s is unity and discipline.

If schools and colleges make NCC compulsory, the youth of today will become responsible and disciplined nation-builders of tomorrow. To promote the all-round growth of students, NCC cadets are subjected to rigorous physical training.  NCC also helps students and schools in other ways.
India’s ex-President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was a great advocate of compulsory NCC training at the school and college levels. In his view, it would lead to the elimination of corruption in society, promote discipline, and help protect the environment.

The main aim of NCC is developing character, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose.
Youth is the most formative period in an individual’s life. At this time, the mind is fresh and receptive and relatively innocent, and one’s energy level is high. That is why, all over the world, people talk of ‘catching them young’ when it comes to accomplishing any worthy goal. Provided it is well-conducted, the NCC programme has enough to inspire children into leading constructive and purposeful lives.

The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. So it is vital that they grow up to be exemplary human beings keen to contribute to nation-building. The NCC goes a long way in instilling this quality in students. It provides the youth an opportunity to serve the nation as the second line of defence during war and to be a dependable developmental force during peace. Through institutional training, adventure sports and outdoor activities, NCC cadets develop qualities of leadership and discipline, courage and confidence, esprit de corps and a secular outlook, all hallmarks of committed and productive citizens. If schools and colleges make NCC compulsory, the youth of today will become responsible and disciplined nation-builders of tomorrow.

To promote the all-round growth of students, NCC cadets are subjected to rigorous physical training. They undergo free hand and rifle drill and learn map reading, night-marching and star navigation. They study Indian history and geography, general knowledge and man-management. At annual and national integration camps they learn to live as a community and to respect the culture of cadets from different states.

Youth is the major factor that determines the overall success rate of a nation. NCC works towards the empowerment of country’s youth engaging them into the constructive activities that keep them away from any negative forces which may drive the youth towards some acts like drug addiction, terrorism or robberies. NCC works for the overall betterment of the youth picked from schools and colleges so that their energy can be harnessed towards something useful for them as well as the society.

So, School and colleges NCC not only benefits the students in improving their overall personality and but also puts the candidates on the priority list while being selected for a job in future.

Seeing today situation in Kashmir and Border State even internal put of India there is a great threat of terrorism, castism and religion.  Our NCC Cadets can play a very vital role to product from outside and inside threat to our country.

At the time of natural calamity cadets can play a very much supportive role to our disaster management team to serve the effected people.  In overall NCC cadets can be a great asset to the nation at the time of emergency.

Need of Gurukul with old values and modern technology

The Gurukul was a type of school in ancient education system in India since Vedic age. In that period the main motto of Gurukul to develop the knowledge and therefore Gurus train their students with meditations, Yoga and other standards. In Gurukul, teacher is called as a “Guru” and the students are called as “shishya”.

The main Objectives of the Gurukul system are:-
Self Control, Character Development, Social awarnace, Personality Development, Intellectual development and Spiritual Development and preservation of knowledge and culture.

Here students were divided into three categories like:-

1.       Vasu: - Those Obtaining education upto the age of 24.
2.       Rudra: - Those Obtaining education upto the age of 36.
3.       Aaditya:- Those obtaining education upto the age of 48

The gurukul System was the only education system in ancient India .The students gained their education with the in-depth knowledge. Not only the education but also they had been taught essential aspects for their cultured and displine life. The shishya lived under gurukul roof with the good brotherhood and there was a good humanity, love and discipline.
The Gurukul is a comprehensive learning centre where the students are taught good habits of respecting the elders, parents and teachers. On the whole, ancient system gained a huge respect with this gurukulam system.

If we come to our modern education system, has evolved with time and has been influenced by the western system. It has been affected by the changes and advances in technology. The education system has incorporated technologies like eBooks, Video lecturer, Distance learning through video chat, Demonstration through 3-D Imaging Developments. That technique helped the students in grasping better knowledge through visual ads that help in increasing retention. Teaching methods are continuously upgraded as per advanced research and development.

We need an amalgamation of both one needs to comprehend the reason for Gurukul. How it worked, what society resembled in the past and how the objective of gurukul training can be accomplished in the present day setting. It is not just a case of copying the past.
There must be an adjustment and a mix of both cutting edge instruction and convention if the Gurukul framework into survive and affected today’s general public. The objective of the new age gurukul education should be to prepare students in a manner that they don’t just have the learning of the current training framework, but also beyond that.
